Firefly Nights

April is National Poetry Month: On display at CHS Library

Firefly Nights

Closer to Earth than the forever stars
Of Sirus Major and Andromeda
The fireflies flash through the summer night
As we rest on the patio drinking iced tea and lemonade,
While we sit on the patio, the fireflies have all the fun tonight
As they search for love with a warrant from Nature,
You sip your tea as if it were poison
Thinking that Life has no light for us,
But look at the fireflies
Enjoy the light one little bit at a time.
