The Mickey Vernon Sports History Museum Looking for a New Home
“The Mickey
Vernon Sports History Museum of Delaware County, Pennsylvania is closing its
doors. For nearly a decade it has found a place in the hearts of sports fans
and most recently lived in the Granite Run Mall. Now the Mall is being
demolished and the museum is looking for a place to call home.”
I spoke with
Jim Vankoski to follow up on this report. Because the Granite Run Mall is due
to be demolished, possibly in the fall, the Mickey Vernon Sports History Museum
is looking for a new home. The Museum will be temporarily relocated at the
Delaware County Historical Society Museum in Chester, 408 Avenue of the States.
The Museum will have a grand opening for the exhibit tomorrow, 11-1pm. The
exhibit will be at the site until October.
