On Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 6pm former Chester resident Dr. Mary Carter-Williams – known as Isabella in poetry circles– will read from her latest poetry collection, Soul of Isabella, at the J. Lewis Crozer Library, located at 620 Engle Street, Chester, Pennsylvania. The book, along with On Being Prayerful, Long and Short Poems That Heal, will be available for purchase. An award-winning poet, Dr. Carter-Williams has a baccalaureate degree from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania and graduate degrees from Howard University and The Catholic University of America.
