Chester Students Recognized with Distinguish Service Citation


Three students from Chester schools were recognized for their service in the Rotary Club of Chester this week. The program, held at Harrah’s in Chester, was arranged by Mr. Joseph Cirilli to congratulate the students who have participated in the Rotary student programs in this academic year. Mr. Cirilli, who oversaw the chartering of the Rotaract Program at Widener 20 years ago, was the program chair. The programs are Interact (middle school-high school) and Rotaract (college).

The recipients were:


Martin Turner-Interact
CHS Rotary Club President
Martin was Rotary Student of the Month for February. Mr. Turner as President of the Interact Program was presented with a certificate of appreciation for his work with the Interact Program. Barbara McKinney-Rotaract


Ms. McKinney, Nursing Degree student, was President. Ms. McKinney was presented with a certificate of appreciation for her leadership of the Rotaract Program at Widener University for the last 4 academic years.

Donald Thomas-Rotaract


Mr. Thomas, a Psychology/Physical Therapy major, was Vice President. Mr. Thomas was presented with a certificate of appreciation for his leadership of the Rotaract Program at Widener University for the last 4 academic years.
