Clippers Season Ends

By Terry Thomas

Unfortunately, the Chester Clippers 2019-2020 season has come to a close. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic Governor Wolf has closed all Pennsylvania schools for the remainder of the academic school year. The team finishes the season with a 24-4 record after the thrilling 63-62 buzzer beater against the Simon Gratz Bulldogs and is left to ponder what might have been going forward.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Coach Keith E. Taylor Sr, his staff (Kenny Tate, Durell Moore and Jimmy Dennis), the players and manager (Hakeem Bacon) for their dedication and effort. They truly supported one another and came together as a FAMILY.

Good Luck to our seniors Hakeem Bacon, Faheem Berry, Zahmir Carroll, Rahmee Gilbert, J'shon Lawler and Akeem Taylor Jr in their pursuit of higher education. To date Hakeem Bacon has signed to attend Bloomsburg University (football) and Akeem Taylor Jr has signed to attend Kutztown University.

Stay Safe ... Be Blessed
