2014 World Languages Day Celebration

The Chester High School Language Department celebrated World Language Day in a big way. This is the third year language teachers and students have been celebrating the event. The event opened with the “The Pledge of Allegiance” in two different languages, Spanish and French which are the languages taught. Music included, “The Star Spangled Banner”, “The Marseillaise”, and “LA Borinquena.” Remarks were made by Principal McAlister, French teacher Evonne Mbadiwe, Spanish teacher Wesley Carter, and student Jayda Carter about the importance of learning another language. Buffet style food was provided by Clippers Academy. Supporters of the event bought and wore red t-shirts for Spanish and blue t-shirts for French.
