Jessica Vega, a junior at Chester High School, was
recently declared the first place winner of the annual essay contest sponsored
by the South Chester Optimist Club, Inc. The title of her essay was “Optimism
Should Be A Priority.” She was coached by educator Reginald Springfield. For
her achievement, she was awarded a trophy, medallion and certificate.
The South Chester Optimist Club, Inc. is a community
service organization operating under the auspices of Optimist
International. Its current president is
