Magellan Youth Leaders Inspiring Future Empowerment (MY LIFE) needs your help and support for MY FEST '14 being held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Rose Tree Park in Media, PA. MY LIFE and MY FEST are supported by Magellan Behavioral Health of Pennsylvania, Inc., Bucks County Behavioral Health, Delaware County Office of Behavioral Health, Lehigh County HealthChoices, Montgomery County Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Northampton County HealthChoices, and a variety of youth service organizations.

MY LIFE youth groups were established in Bucks, Delaware, Lehigh, Montgomery, and Northampton Counties in early 2011. MY LIFE is an empowering leadership group for youth ages 13 to 23 who have experience with mental health, substance abuse, foster care or juvenile justice issues; and who want to use their experience to help improve the systems that serve youth. The MY LIFE groups hold an annual community event, MY FEST, to raise awareness and reduce stigma about mental health, substance abuse, and foster care issues facing youth and young adults.  MY FEST Pennsylvania featured live music, performances, art, games, and a variety of youth and family-based organizations offering resources and services for youth and families. To date, four events have been held in Pennsylvania with over 1900 youth and families attending.

Once again, the MY LIFE groups are coming together to host MY FEST '14. It promises to be an amazing event - but MY LIFE cannot do it alone. We need your help to make it happen! Your support and sponsorship will ensure that more of Pennsylvania's youth and families become educated about and have access to vital information and resources related to mental health, substance abuse, and foster care-related issues.

With your support, MY FEST '14 will provide Pennsylvania's youth and families the opportunity to learn about community resources and enjoy a fun-filled day in the sun. Your support will be tax deductible as Child and Family Focus, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, remains our partner and fiscal agent for the event. We are in need of sponsorship funds to help cover cost for the venue, tables and tents, food, raffle/door prizes, supplies, and promotional materials (flyers). If funding donations are not a good option for you, we would love to talk with you about how you would like to support our youth-run event.
