The Chester Upland School District community is
invited to a series of forums this week to learn about the process for bringing
financial stability to its schools and next week to learn about the report of
the Chief Recovery Officer for the school district.
The forums will be hosted by Chief Recovery Officer
Joe Watkins. Rev. Watkins was appointed by the state Education Secretary to
develop and oversee implementation of a financial and academic recovery plan
for the Chester Upland School District.
Following is the schedule of meetings:
Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. at Community Baptist
Church 325 West 7th St., Chester
Thursday, Oct. 11 at 9 a.m. at Providence Baptist
Church 1100 West 2nd St., Chester
Thursday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. at Chester High School 232
West 9th St., Chester
Saturday, Oct. 13 at 9 a.m., Toby Farms Intermediate
School 201 Bridgewater Rd., Brookhaven
Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. at Chester High School
