In this version of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, award-winning playwright Kathryn Schultz Miller retells Washington Irving’s classic ghost story with young audiences in mind.  The performance packs thrills, chills and laughs and features a spooky jaunt through the woods . . . and a spine-tingling encounter with the infamous Headless Horseman.

The cast features Widener University students Luis Aguilar, Autumn Heisler, Patrick LaMarra, Carolyn Lodge, Anna McCormick, Kirk Reichart, and Kim Vogel, as well as Wilmington, Del., resident Ruby Knipe. It is directed by Cocchiarale, with technical direction by Daniel Castagna.

Since 2001, Widener’s FreshBaked Theatre Company has produced quality drama for children and families in the greater Chester area. The ensemble seeks to enhance Widener University’s commitment to civic engagement by sharing the magic of live performing arts. “Our mission is to present inventive drama for young minds and the people who nurture them,” said Cocchiarale.
