In August
1988 a bill was passed in congress to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
“Now,
America dedicates a month, from September 15 to October 15, to celebrating the
culture and traditions of those who trace their roots to Spain, Mexico and the
Spanish-speaking nations of Central America, South America and the Caribbean.”
At Chester
High School students have been celebrating Hispanic heritage with biographies of notable
Hispanic Americans.
