One
Day in Chester Arts Festival builds excitement for using art to drive Chester’s
revitalization
CHESTER, Pa.— With leadership by the Nia Center, Widener University and
the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, the city of Chester hosts the inaugural
One Day in Chester arts festival on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The day features local food vendors
and nearly 40 unique attractions: live music, art exhibits, dance, craft
displays, workshops, spoken word, face painting and other kids’ activities, and
more. All takes place in the 500 Block of the Avenue of the States. For a

Details: The One Day in Chester arts festival will celebrate the
many collaborations that have put art at the center of a downtown
