Fall Bistro Dinner Series


Chester, Pa. – Reservations are being accepted for Widener’s popular Fall 2018 Bistro Dinner Series. The series kicks off Wednesday, Oct. 3 with a menu that includes a hearty tuscan-style soup, beef ragu bowl, classic margherita flatbread, and more – all prepared and served in a casual-dining setting by students from the Center for Hospitality Management in the School of Business Administration.

The dinners will be held on the following Wednesdays: Oct. 3, Oct. 10, Oct. 17, Oct. 31, Nov. 7, Nov. 14, Nov. 28, and Dec. 5. Menus are available online.

Guests will enjoy a two-course à la carte meal served in the J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Dining Room on Widener’s campus. The restaurant is an opportunity for students to apply theoretical concepts learned in the classroom to a casual and relaxed dining setting. Student teams lead all aspects of the dinners from calculating food costs to managing their fellow students who are cooking and serving the meals.

Reservations are required for the Bistro Dinner Series. Seating times are from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings during the fall semester. For reservations, please call 610-499-1127 or e-mail sznoye@widener.edu. Reservations for parties of 6 or more must confirm the reservation the Friday before the date. Any unconfirmed reservations will be cancelled.
