Chester Boys Basketball vs J. P McCaskey

Chester Moves to 3-0
 
The Clippers present and future was on display in Chester's (3-0) 82-47 victory over the visiting J.P. McCaskey Red Tornadoes (0-2). Senior Jamar Sudan led the way with his third double-double of this young season with 10 rebounds and a game high 18 points. Sophomore point guard Michael Smith controlled the game tempo with his season/career high of 13 points. Senior Jordan Camper registered his third double figure game with 11 points and controlled the paint with 5 rebounds and matching his career high of 7 blocked shots. Junior Brian Randolph III captured his first double-double of the season with career highs of 11 points and 11 rebounds. Junior forwards Timothy Johnston and Rahmaad DeJarnette each contributed 8 points with DeJarnette picking off a career high of 5 steals. Seniors Jah'meir Springfield and Ahrod Carter added 5 and 4 points respectively while sophomore Jaimhy Evans completed the scoring with 4 points.

McCaskey opened the game by scoring the first 3 points and Chester responded with buckets from Smith and Randolph and the Clippers never trailed again. Smith and Sudan each dropped in 7 points in the opening quarter to finish it with a 19-13 advantage. Chester increased their defensive intensity in the 2nd quarter and after a Carter feed slam-dunk by Sudan, the Red Tornadoes called for a timeout at 6:07 and now trailing 26-15. The Clippers closed out the 2nd quarter by doubling their opponents 14-7 to increase their lead to 40-22 at the intermission. Coming out for the 2nd half Chester continued their offensive onslaught by putting 27 points on the scoreboard in the 3rd quarter and limiting McCaskey to 12 and now holding a 67-34 advantage. Chester opened the final quarter with a 10-3 run to put the Mercy Rule in effect at 77-37.

Chester will return to action on Tuesday, December 20th when the Reading Red Knights visit the Clip Joint.
