Clippers Bullies Bulls
Report by James Peach Howard
As the bus pulled up on the campus of Glen Mills the
team witnessed a group of deer just near the locker room. At that point the
kids knew they were out the city. It's time to get turned up they exclaimed. As
startled as the deer were so were the Battlin Bulls as the Clippers bullied
them 25-6. Chester started the scoring in the 1st quarter on a 25 yard run by
Jaquan "Juke" Flood. Nasheed McCaskill added the point after and it
was 7-0. In the 2nd quarter, Flood made a leaping tap to himself catch for a 49
yard touchdown pass from Jamir Green. Chester goes into the half leading 13-0.
Glen Mills scored on the opening kickoff of the second half to make it 13-6.
Chester's defense then really buckled down and held the Bulls at bay. In the
4th quarter, Chester scored twice to put the game away. Touchdown runs by Jamir
Green and Anthony Sterling (92 yards rushing) ended any comeback for the Bulls
and kept Chester in a 3 way tie for 1st place in the Del Val with (Academy Park
& Interboro). On defense the duo of D'Andre Dill and Naim Little controlled
the trenches and linebacker Devan "Nuddy" Freeman and company held
the Bulls to under 100 yards (99) and this is the second week in a row they
held an opponent under 100 yards. The Clippers return home next Saturday to take on
Interboro game time is 10:30
am. This game is for 1st place. Come out and support the Clippers!!
