Chester High School Law Day 2015

Assistant District Attorney Erica Parham and Judge Linda Cartisano

Chester High School wrapped up Law Day events with an annual visit from Assistant District Attorney Erica Parham and Judge Linda Cartisano. They discussed several nationwide current events including the riots in Baltimore, incidents involving law enforcement, and prominent cases in the news. The Law Day theme was Magna Carta. Based on a hypothetical situation, students discussed whether there was evidence sufficient to sustain a conviction and whether there was legally adequate defense to the offenses charged; a very complex case with lots of twist to hold students’ interest in the legal process. Looking forward to next year’s Law Day.
