Chester High School Students visit to the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum

Chester High School students have been paying tribute to veterans all week. They have written poems and biographies. They had a visit from the Buffalo Soldiers. To top off the week, students took a field trip to the Pennsylvania Veterans Museum in Media. This place is awesome. Everyone was interested in the memorabilia and interactive kiosks. Real veterans were at the museum to guide us through all the exhibits. Students learned about the history of World War II and Korea through the eyes and experience of Pennsylvania men and women who served in our military.

When the ROTC program ended in June at Chester High School, some of the members longed for the discipline the program provided. Students were thirsty for the knowledge that the museum offered. The museum is a great way to learn about veterans who served in the military.

The Pennsylvania Veterans Museum is free to the public. To schedule a visit, contact Museum Administrator, Jolene Buffman at (610)566-0788 or email jbuffman@paveteransmuseum.org
