Clippers Baseball vs. Penn Wood

The Clippers baseball team took on Penn Wood this afternoon at the A Field in Chester. The Clippers lost by a score of 10 to 1. Assistant Coach Eugene Campbell said this was a young team of 9th and 10th graders. Some never played the game. But the team is determined to learn. The season just started. So far the Clippers are 0 and 2. The team lost their game opener to Academy Park on March 25th and the game with Glen Mills last week was rained out. The Clippers will be away for the next 5 games. The next time the team will play at home is on April 23rd at 3:30 pm against Interboro.

The team boast the only female player, Dashawna Turner who plays right and left fielder. Assistant Coach Campbell pronounced, “And she can play too.”

The baseball Head Coach is Mark Bennett and the Assistant Coach is Eugene Campbell. The coaches get the team motivated on and off the field. “The goal for the team is to get better every day, not only for baseball but for life,” says Coach Campbell.
