L. Hicks, Jr. Foundation, in cooperation with the William Trippley Youth
Development Foundation, is sponsoring the Chester All-Star Track Meet on
Saturday, June 2nd at Widener University. This Meet is free and open to
all Chester 4th and 5th graders. The Chester children (in groups of four)
will have one Chester County high school track athlete as their
"coach" for the day, encouraging them and taking them from one event
to another. The kids will get healthy snacks during the day (9am until
3pm) and a healthy lunch at 2pm. It doesn't cost anything, but the
children need to register so that I know how many children to expect. We
were thinking that about 500 kids would come. We have about 150 volunteers
already committed.
