Last year I covered my first sports story, the All Delco Football Banquet. This story remained in the top 10 views for most of the year. Although this year I can’t attend the banquet, Coach Crews briefly shared his team recognition awards for the All Delco Football.
Senior Devon Emmertz (OL-DL) was a First Team Offensive Lineman and Second Team Defensive Lineman. Junior Tahjee Duncan (RB-LB) was the Second Team Running Back. Senior Anthony Jackson (WR-DB) was a Second Team Receiver. Ten other players were honorable mention at various positions. Chester certainly faired out a lot better last year. Some of the top players are now playing for Widener University.

In a recent story by the Times: H.S. Football: Caravel comes out swinging, downs Chester by Frank Otto (Comments were made after the last game of the season),
Chester Coach Chuck Crews said that he needs more players dedicated year-round to the Clippers, who went winless in conference play.
“We needed more guys to commit in the offseason,” Crews said. “Programs win and lose in the offseason.”

“Right now, our eyes are completely focused on getting our seniors graduated and into college and our underclassmen focusing on West Chester Henderson, (the first game next season),” he said.
