Eagles Book Mobile Visits Pennsylvania’s Largest K-8 Charter School


Chester, PA, October 17, 2011 – The Eagles Book Mobile, a program created by the National Football League’s own Philadelphia Eagles to promote reading and decrease illiteracy among Philadelphia children, will visit more than 350 students at Chester Community Charter School (CCCS), the largest K-8 charter school in Pennsylvania, and distribute free, new books among the students and in the school’s classrooms. 

The Eagles “Storybook Man” will read to four second-grade classrooms, two, each, on CCCS’s East and West campuses, and will leave additional books for distribution to students who are unable to attend the readings.

This is the tenth year that CCCS and the Eagles Book Mobile have been engaged in this program. 
The Eagles Book Mobile has distributed more than 442,213 books since 2000.
