Village Charter has a New Home

Last week the Delcotimes reported that the Village Charter School’s building was up for lease but had no plans to close. They also reported that district spokeman Joel Avery said, “The Village School as a school isn’t going anywhere,”… “The district will continue to operate and maintain the Village School exactly as it is doing in its current operation.”

As the district prepares for back to school in a few weeks, changes are emerging with the merger of Science and Discovery and Allied Health High Schools to be located at the Showalter Building. The Village Charter School may be occupying the Smedley Building for the upcoming school year.

In these tough economic times, we all expect changes. I am sure the complete plans for the school year will be forthcoming.
