Chester, PA — August 1 — The J. Lewis Crozer Library would like to express its appreciation for the many contributions that Laborer’s International Union of North America, Local 413 of Chester, has made to the library over the past five years. On July 8th, Local 413 presented a check to the library to fund a wireless Internet network in the library as well as prizes and incentives for children and teens participating in this year’s Summer Reading Club.

Local 413 has made both monetary contributions and donations of labor and materials to the library. Their efforts have resulted in a much better library for the residents of Chester. Their contributions include:
  • Funding for WiFi access and firewall technology
  • Funding for the purchase of 5 additional computer workstations in the library
  • Installation of Computer Desk Area to house new computer workstations (in partnership with the Philadelphia Regional District Council of Carpenters and DMR Construction)
  • Installation of 8 electrical outlets in the library’s new Computer Desk Area (in partnership with A&S Electrical Solutions)
  • New carpeting in the library’s Community Room – labor and materials (in partnership with DMR Construction)
  • Wide-screen television for the library’s Community Room
  • Children’s Listening Center, books, and audio
  • Wii gaming console
  • Furniture reupholstering
  • Summer Reading Club prizes and incentives for children and teens
The J. Lewis Crozer Library is truly grateful for Local 413’s generosity and continued support.
