CHESTER CITY HOSTS FREE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

Chester, PA -- If you enjoy driving rhythm and joyful sounds, the City of Chester, Department of Parks and Recreation, invites you to bring your body and soul to its annual Summer Concert Series. The free concert series hosts a variety of musical talent with performances scheduled every Sunday evening throughout the month of August from 5:00-9:00 pm in Ethel Waters Park.

The free concert series kicks off on Sunday, August 7th with Raising Kane at Ethel Waters Park, on the banks of Chester Creek located at Edgmont Avenue & Route 291.  The series continues on Sunday, August 14th, featuring Point Blank Band; Sunday, August 21st, featuring The Solution;and capping off Sunday, August 28 with a gospel concert featuring the Gospel Disciples and 5 of God's Children.

These musical events are free and open to the public, and are a part of Mayor and Council's ongoing efforts to provide quality cultural and entertainment programs for residents and visitors in the City of Chester.
