United Way is leading an advocacy letter writing campaign this June 2011 in response to the Fiscal Year 2011-2012 Proposed Budget, starting with an advocacy workshop this Thursday, June 2nd. We hope to engage community members in our advocacy efforts to address budget cuts to education and social services. The event will provide participants with the opportunity to learn how to contact legislators and the opportunity to connect with fellow community members. Food and refreshments will be provided.
