Xinos and Kudos Closing Ceremony

The NSPDK youth groups, XI Xinos and Kudos presented their closing ceremony and fashion show this afternoon. The event was held at the Ramada Inn at the Essington location in Pennsylvania. The event celebrated a culmination of year long activities by both groups. The Xinos represent the female youth group and the Kudos represent the male youth group. Students represent various schools from around the County including Chester High, Smedley Allied Health High, Science and Discovery High, Chichester High, Concord High, Great Valley High, and Bayard Rustin High. Both youth groups did amazing work on Pancake Fundraisers at Applebees; Skating Event; Youth Empowerment Summit; Teen Summit; Pieces of Peace and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service; Nicaragua Project; YWCA Health Fair; Back to School Drive with City Team; Black History Project; Easter Project; Youth Conference; and College tours. In addition to their many community service projects were monthly meetings and workshops about finances, college preparation, study habits, peer mediation, social networking, etiquette, self-esteem and sisterly and brotherly connections. They also kept up their academics and school activities. These were the busiest young people on the planet. All the seniors will be going off to various colleges in the fall.

We want to thank the NSPDK for another successful year of grooming our youth and leading them in the right path. Without organizations like this to teach our youth positive direction and provide them with positive role models, our outlook for the next generation may not be as bright.  We are definitely hopeful with the Xinos and the Kudos youth groups in the world.

Congratulations for all the awards, trophies, and certificates in recognition of service throughout the year on your accomplishments.
