Spring is a great time of year to take a trip. Chester Upland School District has begun its annual sponsored field trips. The field trips are a good way to take the opportunity for a free outing, soak up the scene, get some extended learning knowledge, and experience culture outside of the environment.

10th grade students from Chester High School took a recent trip to the National Constitution Center. Students started with the Freedom Raising show “We the people”. They were so excited to see the birth of a new nation to its present state. They could see all the history that they learned for the past year as they toured the museum. Ms. Tropp planned the field trip for her ELL classes to expose them to American History. Ms. Brown took her students to make a connection in areas like the Constitution and the Civil War which students are wrapping up with to end the school year for part 1 of American History. Students also had fun playing historical games. There is so much to learn and enjoy at the National Constitution Center.
