Joe Cirilli the Executive Director of the Delco Athletes Hall of Fame has announced that Rich Pagano, author of the book Delaware County Sports Legends, will be making a special pre-Father's Day book signing at the Mickey Vernon Sports History Museum on Tuesday June 14th from 10am to 2pm.
Mr. Pagano's book includes hundreds of photographs of local and national heroes that have reached the top of their profession. 16 Chester High School Basketball Players are included. Here are some of them: Horace Walker, Granny Lash, Emerson Baynard, Charles Kirkland, Paul Williams, John Laszek, Mike Marshall, Bo Ryan, Herman Harris, Hank Mann, Len Gordy, Frank May, Fred Pickett (Coach), and Lew Krausse. Other sports figures from Chester in other sports are also in the book including baseball, football, and track & field.
At the signing Rich will be accepting nominations for athletes to be included in his second book currently in the works. Some of the younger Clippers, like Jameer Nelson, will be in this book.
