Chester High Entrepreneurship Club

“In our debut year, the Chester High Entrepreneurship Club’s mission is to better ourselves in field of business by making a profit and satisfying our customers by practicing entrepreneurship on smaller levels to build our business mindset for the future.”—Clayana Gibson, 10th Grade member

It was created through conversations and eventual partnerships with the Chester Upland School District, EdTec (Entrepreneurship Training Center), Crozer Youth Collaborative, and the Chester Economic Development Authority.  We look to one day integrate entrepreneurship ideals into today’s school curriculum because it fosters self-confidence, independence, and critical thinking skills.

Our project this year has to do with design.  We will be having our final presentation on April 13th to establish and promote their business creation at 3:00 at EntrepreneurWorks in Chester.  If you are a community member that would like to attend, please email me at Christopher.r.rogers@gmail.com.  I would also be wrong if I didn’t mention that the students are looking for local businesses to sell their products.  If you own a business or have a potential lead, please drop me an email as well and I’ll forward it to the students.
