Women March On: Celebrating Women’s History Month

March is Women’s History Month. There is an awesome display of literature at the Chester High School's Library. The theme is Women March On. The display features books written by women about women. The library is headed by Librarian Dr. Irene Owens.
 Here are some of the literatures on display:

Voices by Lucille Clifton, Winner of the National Book Award

The Color Purple by Alice Walker, Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award

Maya Angelou More than a Poet by Elaine Slivinski Lisandrelli, from African-American Biographies

Up Close: Oprah Winfrey by Ilene Cooper

The Blacker the Berry, Poems by Joyce Carol Thomas

Sojourner Truth, A Life A Symbol by Nell Irvin Painter

Good News is joining the celebration of women for the month of March.
