Chester vs. Neshaminy

Final Score
#2 Darius Robinson making a free throw
#34 Tavuane Griffin making a free throw
Chester faced a tougher opponent tonight in a semifinals game with Neshaminy at Villanova University. Most of the game the scores were very tight. Neshaminy led for the first two quarters of the game. The first quarter they outscored Chester 21 to 17. The second quarter they led 38 to 35, leading at half-time. By the third quarter, Chester started bouncing back to score 53 to 50 with very tough calls from the referees. Fans were shouting in the stands that we had one of the worst referees. Fans remembered this referee from the Penn Wood games.

This was a very tight game going back and forth with the scores between the two teams. It was a nail biter for me because I was so use to the Chester blow outs that I did not expect this close score. Chester has got to improve on their foul shots, especially when the referees take advantage of the scoring.

Chester pulled off a 10 points win of 77 to 67. One fan said, “They had us nervous for a second.” He sure was right. Chester will play Council Rock North at Villanova on Friday, March 4, 2011.

  8. Very good game. Chester is as good as I expected them to be. Being a Neshaminy fan I was happy to see Neshaminy hang in there with them for most of the game. We just didn't have the horses in the end.

Good luck to the Clippers in the Finals. CR North has size and should not be overlooked. Their one loss this year is to a nationally ranked team. Hopefully it will be just as good a game as I saw last night.
