Chester High Boys Basketball Head Coach Larry Yarbray wins 200

Chester Clipper boys basketball head coach Larry Yarbray captured career win # 200 Thursday night as Chester (8-2) beat Interboro, 85-28.

Larry (left) becomes the 5th boys basketball coach in the history of Chester hoops to reach 200 wins.

Coach Yarbray, who became Chester head coach in 2008-2009, has guided the Clippers to 3 PIAA state finals (2011, 2012, 2013) and winning two state championships (2011 and 2012).

The late, great Fred Pickett (right) has the most wins with 331 in 13 seasons (1995-96 through 2007-2008). Coach Pickett guided Chester to 5 PIAA state title games (2000, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2008) and winning 3 state championships (2000, 2005, 2008).

Cliff Wilson is next with 239 wins in 11 seasons (1974-75 through 1984-85). Wilson led Chester to their first-ever PIAA boys basketball state title in 1982-83.

Late, great Alonzo Lewis (center) garnered 237 wins in 10 seasons (1985-86 through 1994-95). Alonzo coached the Clippers to a pair of PIAA state titles (1989 and 1994).

The late, great Bob Forwood won 200 games in 10 seasons (1942-43, 1946-47, and 1953-54 through 1960-61) and guided Chester to 4 PIAA state final games (1954, 1955, 1957, 1959).
