Hatboro-Horsham Hatters. Chester limited their opponent to single digit scoring
in 3 of the 4 quarters; they slipped and gave up 11 in the 3rd. Their
man-to-man was in full effect as they held the Hatters Clifton Moore to a mere
2 points after lighting up the Strath Haven Panthers with 28 points in their
1st round contest. Only four players scored for Hatboro in the contest. Stanley
Davis scored the first point for the Clippers by connecting on 1 of 2 free
throws and Chester never looked back. Senior Khaleeq Campbell drained a trey
and connected on two free throws and fellow senior Deshawn Hinson continued to
make the most of his opportunity as a starter and drained two treys to give his
team a 12-9 lead at the end of the quarter. The Clippers bench ignited an 8-2
run to start the 2nd quarter forcing a Hatters timeout at 3:44, Chester - 20,
Hatboro - 11. Jahmi Bailey-Green started the run with a bucket followed by
junior Ahrod Carter (4) and senior Jamal Jones 2 points. After two free throws
from Campbell, Coach Yarbray called for a timeout at 1:53 and his team ahead
24-13. Out of the time-out, Deshawn Hinson stole the Hatters inbound pass and
scored to push the lead to 26-13. Campbell drained another trey to give the
Clippers a 29-15 advantage at the intermission. Davis took control in the 3rd
quarter scoring 6 of his 11 points, Hinson added 3 more to his team high 13
points and a bucket by Campbell for his 12th point. Hatboro was forced to call
three timeouts in the 3rd quarter to stop runs with their final timeout called
at the 2:48
mark and trailing 42-21. The 3rd quarter ended with Chester now leading 42-26.
Junior Jordan Camper seeing limited action since returning from a wrist injury
made the most of his fourth quarter appearance with a thunder dunk off an
assist from Carter and a put-back basket to finish with 4 points. Sudan added a
one handed dunk off an assist from Davis, junior Shaquan Francis added his name
to the scoring column with a15 footer off a feed from Larry Yarbray Jr. and
