Again Chester was close at halftime, and again
Chester couldn't score in the second half and fell 21-12 to the Haverford Ford.
Chester falls to 0-2 while Haverford improves to 1-1. Two costly fumbles doomed
Chester on offense and blown coverage assignments hurt the defense.
On the positive side the offense did produce over
200 yards rushing (Ed Nelson, Jr. 96 yards). Rushing touchdowns by Jaquan Flood
(6 yd. run) and Arlo Lee, Jr. (11 yd. run) completed the scoring for the
Clippers. D'Andre Dill had 2 sacks and 3 tackles for loss. Also Rashee
Alexander had an interception and Jihad Brown and Amaru Muhammad recovered
fumbles for the defense.
Chester will be back in action this Saturday September 19th for
their home opener against Father Judge from the Philadelphia Catholic League.
