New Playground Fundraiser for CUSA at Waterfront in Chester

A nice organized event took place on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Chester Waterfront. SIG Combibloc was the sponsor for the 1^st Annual Chester Upland School of the Arts (CUSA) Happy Hour. This was a Chester Community Outreach project to benefit the students of CUSA. “SIG Combibloc is a global food and beverage packaging company located in Chester, Pa. SIG believes in uniting the community, compassionate people, and companies into a sustainable partnership that increases educational opportunities all young people deserve.” CUSA is a public school in the Chester Upland School District which provides arts, dance, and education for students. “One of the school’s major challenges is the lack of a safe outdoor playground for children to play, be physically active, and release surplus-energy and stress.” The goal of the event was for SIG to raise $50,000 to rebuild CUSA’s playground before classes start in September 2015. At the time of the fundraiser, the organization had raised $24,000 almost half of the targeted goal.
