Widener University is holding a summer camp for high school students
interested in the exciting field of engineering. The camp was developed by
engineering faculty at Widener to introduce high school students to the field
of engineering in a nurturing, noncompetitive, "hands-on"
environment. In the four days, activities will include making concrete blocks,
launching soda bottle rockets, and exploring the fields of chemical, civil,
electrical, mechanical, and biomedical engineering. Students will experience
computer workshops, demonstrations, films, laboratory exercises, discussion
groups, and presentations.
When: June
22—25, 2015
Where: Kirkbride
Hall
Tuition: $450.00
per session, which includes all laboratory materials and lunches. *Students
enrolled in the resident camp will be charged an additional $450.00, which
includes room and board as well as evening activities.
