Essington, PA: The National Congress of Black Women
Delco Chapter held their annual banquet honoring local Delaware County residence
on March 28, 2015 at the Clarion Hotel. The theme of the Chapter was “Are We
Still Living Selma Today?” Voting rights was the mission of today’s banquet
spoken by Keynote Speaker Dr. Patricia West, Associate Professor from Lincoln
University. Entertaining guests were a praise dancer, “For Collective Women” with
poetry and drumming, Soloist Bellvesta, and Comedian Michael Collier.
The
