Beautiful day
yesterday in Swarthmore, Swarthmore College now listed as the third best
college in America. The college ranks higher than Harvard which I thought was
impressive. But Dr. John Alston reminded me that the college has ranked number two
for many years while he was on staff. So they went down a step. Dr. Alston is no
longer working at Swarthmore College but has resigned as he said, “to devote
more time to this.” He was referring to the Chester Children’s Chorus and the Chester
Charter School for the Arts. From the looks of the group they had a great time
at the summer program. The dance concert on Tuesday was great. Yesterday’s open
rehearsal concert was just the usual high standard performance that can be
expected from the Chester Children’s Chorus. Senior citizens from the area were
invited to see the concert. In the video you will see the chorus rocking the
seventies.
