Business Summer Camp
Many high school students remain uncertain about what field of study they will pursue in college until the last minute. In order to help these students make better choices, the Widener University School of Business Administration is preparing four types of educational programs for high school students. Through these programs, we would like to introduce students to the opportunities that lie ahead in the field of business, while at the same time exposing them to a college learning experience.

Summer Business Camp — July 7-10, 2014
During last year's Summer Business Camp, Dr. Joe Hargadon and members of the SBA faculty conducted a highly interactive event where the students learned how to start a business. They bought supplies, learned about income statements, and got a taste of what it was like to be a young entrepreneur.

Highlights of the week include:

Learning about financial literacy
Designing a website
Working at dollar stores to buy supplies for sale at University Center
Selling products at Widener University
Bowling in teams
Presenting to parents and guests
