The New Claymont Library

The new Claymont Library opened unceremoniously to a waiting community at 10 am on Saturday, October 26, 2013 on a crisp autumn morning. Kevin, the Assistant Manager, simply opened the door and said, “Welcome to the Claymont Library.” With that greeting people from the community poured in to see the new state of the arts facility. Some registered for new library cards and others just got started right away on computers and in books. The new Claymont Library is nestled in with the new Darley Green town home development. Although Darley Green is out of my budget, the area is nice and clean. The new library looks great.

This area is growing and developing very fast. Did you know that a super Wawa will be built on Naamans Road where the Jiffy Lube and the old diner are, in front of Total Wines?

See what's inside the new library
