COMMUNITY ARTS MEET & GREET

The public is invited to join Chester Arts Alive! (CAA) for their 1^ST Annual “COMMUNITY ARTS MEET & GREET” EVENT (CAMG) on Friday May 3, 2013 5:30-8:30 pm at Chester City Hall Community Room, 1 E 4th St Chester.  This is an event for the community to come together and stand together for the arts.  Local artists and arts organizations, media, and civic community are amongst those attending this event.

The CAMG event provides an opportunity for the community to meet and greet each other, local and regional artists, as well as participate in an educational and artistic enrichment experience.   This event will also further expose the community to the importance of the arts and the impact it has on their children and all who live in Chester. The evening festivities will include live entertainment, light refreshments, a visual arts display, and much more.  The performing Artists include the “RAISING KANE” BAND, Vocalist ASHLI RICE, PRIME.AMC (Dance), “Spoken Word”.  The Visual Art Displays will be presented by “I CAN I WILL” Youth organization, Chester renowned Artist Van Buren Payne with art work from the Chester Senior Center, and Café Entertainment Sound & DJ.  Community and surrounding artists are invited to come on board with Chester Arts Alive! And become a part of its artist registry to build capacity for programming in the Chester community.  Attendees can also bring business cards, promotional materials, CD’s, etc. to the event.

Chester Arts Alive is dedicated to bringing arts & culture to the city of Chester by assembling artistic partnerships that support, promote, facilitate, and coordinate, the delivery of arts and cultural opportunities and educational programming for all people in the city of Chester. Local CAA collaborating organizations are Community Arts Center (Wallingford) and Hedgerow Theater (Rose Valley).
