Coming Up at Crozer Library



The J. Lewis Crozer Library in Chester invites you to free programs this May. Please register for all programs by calling Kim at (610) 494-3454, x204 or emailing crozerlibrary@gmail.com. Crozer Library is located at 620 Engle Street in Chester.

Are you ready to get your license? Or are you a parent worried as your teen starts to drive? Attend a Teen Driving Seminar with Defensive Driving Academy on Tuesday, April 30th, from 6:30 to 7:30p.m. to get your questions answered.

The Friends of the J. Lewis Crozer Library will host an Art Auction Fundraiser on Thursday, May 2nd, from 5:00 to 7:30p.m. featuring reproductions of paintings created by local artists. All proceeds will benefit the Friends of the J. Lewis Crozer Library in support of programming and special projects at the library.

Art on Avenue of the States returns with another free, fun art class. On Tuesday evening May 7th from 6:00 to 7:30p.m., join local artist Catherine Quillman in creating unique Cards and Book Covers. All ages are welcome; children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Digital Photography 101 will be offered on Saturday, May 11th from 11:00a.m. to 12:30p.m. featuring local photographer Bob Colameco from the Delaware County Camera Club. Finally learn how to take great photographs with your digital camera or on your cell! Also discover fun ways to share your pictures online.

Join us for Crozer Library’s first Read.Watch.Discuss program on Saturday, May 18th from 10:00a.m. to 12:30p.m. Watch the film adaptation of Steve Lopez’s The Soloist, the tale of troubled musician Nathaniel Ayers. Then join a brief discussion comparing the book and film.

Need money for college? On Thursday evening, May 23rd from 6:30 to 7:30p.m., learn How to Pay for College. Whether you’re a student or parent, rich or poor, you owe it to yourself to learn how the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) can help you with college planning, financial aid, and the dreaded FAFSA form!
