Mr. Receiver Joe Watkins makes the basket |
Chester
Clipper Boys basketball will go on to Temple University next week in their
continuing quest for a three-peat for the State title. Here was the score line
up against Upper Darby on Friday night in the final game of the season at the Clip
Joint.
1st
Quarter CHS 14 to 10 UD
2nd
Quarter CHS 35 to 15 UD
3rd
Quarter CHS 60 to 27 UD
4th
Quarter CHS 78 to 29 UD
Complete
runaway game by Chester in an easy and effortless win over Upper Darby.
The Mr.
Receiver vs. the Mayor shoot-out was changed to Mr. Receiver vs. State Rep.
Thaddeus Kirkland at half-time. With all the other side shows during half-time,
I couldn’t keep track of this event. But Receiver Joe Watkins, who told me he
played basketball in high, had a good showing on the court.
