ROTC to Lead Veterans Day Remembrance at Widener University Friday

Widener University’s Dauntless Battalion will honor our nation’s soldiers with a Veterans Day ceremony Friday, November 9 at 11 a.m. The ROTC cadets will carry out longstanding customs such as the 21-gun salute and the placing of the wreath by the Veterans Memorial at Widener’s Old Main building, which remembers alumni of Widener – and its predecessor institution Pennsylvania Military College – who lost their lives in combat. The ROTC cadets will read the names of those alumni aloud.  Col. Timothy F. Kehoe, a student at the United States Army War College, a decorated soldier and a former military assistant to Vice President Dick Cheney, will deliver the Veterans Day message.
