Twyla Simpkins, Interim CEO & Board President of the YWCA in Chester, is keeping Chester Pride alive through the historic preservation of Chester memorabilia. The Chester Pride Museum Exhibit is now on display through January 2013 at the YWCA, 4 East 7th Street in Chester. Simpkins is letting everyone know, “The Y is open!” The YWCA also has scheduled sewing, zumba, dance, and fitness classes. The pool is slated to open in the spring of 2013. Volunteers and donations are appreciated to help with the upkeep of this historic institution.
