Delaware and Chester county families receive $85,000 in scholarships

Students from the Widener University Child Development Center accept a check for scholarships through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program. The funding for the scholarships was provided through a donation by AETNA to the Bravo Foundation. Pictured in back, State Rep. Nick Micozzie (R-Delaware) and Senate Majority Leader Dominic Pileggi (R-9) celebrate the scholarship funds at a Jan. 19 event held at the Widener Child Development Center. AETNA and the Bravo Foundation awarded funds totaling $85,000 to families in Chester and Delaware counties to use for education at both the Widener Child Development Center in Chester, Pa., and the Nicholas School in Clifton Heights, Pa.
