Yes Ma'm! 1ST ANNUAL SISTERHOOD BRUNCH

“Fighting for the Human Rights of the least, the last and the lost.”

In observance of National Human Rights Day, we humbly invite you to join us for our 1st Annual “Yes M’AM!”  Sisterhood Brunch, featuring radio personality and songstress, Desiree “Dezzie” Neal of Praise 103.9FM.  The event will be held on Saturday, December 10th, 2011, at Community Hospital from 10:00am-1:00pm. With the brunch we seek to provide a loving, nurturing atmosphere that strengthens relationships among women of all ages, while building self-esteem and sparking conversation around an issue that has been avoided for many years ~ child sexual abuse.

child sexual abuse,
is a domestic crime and it is estimated that at least two out of every ten girls and one out of every ten boys are abused by their 14th birthday.  It has also been reported that most children who are sexually abused, are abused by a family member or close friend. These facts make it hard for us to remain silent around an issue that creeps into our homes and defiles the human rights of our children! Thus, “Yes M’AM!”  was formed to heighten awareness on the physical, spiritual, social and psychological ramifications of child sexual abuse.

The event is open to girls and women of all ages! Youth tickets are $10.00 (under 12) and adult tickets are $15.00. Please note that THIS IS NOT A FUNDRAISER, all fees go toward covering the costs of space, food, gifts and resources to be provided to our guests. We will also be having health, beauty and fashion vendors, door prizes and live entertainment!

If interested in attending, sponsoring a girl or learning more about “Yes M’AM!” , please contact Mrs. Ieasa Nichols-Harmon, Program Developer @ 610-818-8480 or Mrs. Shakina McClain-Woodruff, Public Health & Education Coordinator @ 484-368-2957.

Help us heighten awareness by spreading the word!!!
