New Acting Superintendent to be Announce for Chester Upland

On Thursday, October 20 the Chester Upland School Board expects to announce its selection for a new Acting Superintendent. Recently, it was announced that Acting Superintendent Dr. Joyce Wells and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Dexter Davis will be replaced after serving over the 12 month limit required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s school code for acting service. Dr. Wells and Dr. Davis continue to manage the day to day operations for the district until the new appointment is made. The school board will continue its national search for a permanent superintendent.
