| #7 Getting Some Play Time |
I was on the Widener University Football field last evening for the 7 on 7 Shoot-Out. High School teams on the field for this tournament were Harriton, GlenMills, Penn Wood, Springfield, Daniel Boone, Haverford, West Chester East, and Chester High. The tournament gave the mostly green Clippers Football team some well needed play time before the season starts. I noticed that not many familiar faces were on the team. Most of the previous players were seniors and have since graduated with many now joining the Widener Football team. “Any potential stars?” I asked Coach Charles Crews. Crews, “They are all potential.” Wow good answer coach! Chester played Harriton, Springfield, and West Chester East before moving on to the tournament championship. The Clippers actually played well. They looked pretty good out on the field.
