CCCS CEO Steven Lee gave the Welcome Remarks

Tonight Chester Community Charter School held its graduation for the 8th grade Middle School class. The graduation took place at the Ramada Inn of Essington. The commencement not only celebrated students’ years of attendance but also perfect attendance for 71 students for their entire enrollment at the school. The school recognized Honor Roll recipients for Distinguished Honors for 3 trimesters, and Subject Honors for the highest content GPA in Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

Mayor Butler

The Keynote Speaker was City of Chester Mayor Wendell Butler. He gave students encouragement to continue on to their next graduation in 4 years. With a “Yes I can” at some point in his speech, a very attentive graduating class actually repeated the words “Yes I can” with confidence. After the Keynote Speech, a very spirited graduating class accepted their diplomas.

This note to the graduating class: “Education is a journey, not a destination. Congratulations and remember: You may not be able to change your past, but you CAN change your future! With love and encouragement, Your 8th Grade teachers and Staff”
